Is it a facelift? A wardrobe change? A rebranding attempt? Whatever it is… there’s something going on over at Camp GMC. Buick-GMC Vice-president Duncan Aldred recently told Edmunds, “I have come here to do a job and change the face of the brand.”
Edmunds hypothesizes that this GMC rebranding strategy could “lead to the addition of a Jeep Wrangler-inspired SUV.” Aldred also said that they are looking to develop a new SUV that “You could consider a real flagship over the Yukon.”
That’s an exciting prospect! If that happens, those of us here at Hatfield Buick GMC would love to see it. The current GMC Yukon Denali represents the height of luxury and functionality, elegance and strength. It’s hard to imagine how GMC could top that model.
Aldred explained that GMC was only in the brainstorming stages of this rebranding. The company was not bending any metal just quite yet. At the same time, Aldred told Edmunds, “We are looking at everything…We are evaluating all possibilities that could really turbocharge the brand and the growth.”
Whatever the changes are that are happening, we will be sure to keep you updated!
