2014 GMC Terrain
The 2015 GMC Terrain, replacing the pictured 2014 GMC Terrain, will have OnStar 4G LTE technology which includes a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Earlier we wrote about how Buick was boosting In-Car Connectivity with OnStar 4G LTE technology and we are happy to report that GMC is going to do the same in their new vehicles. The all-new GMC Terrain and Terrain Denali will feature the same type of segment-leading technology thanks to new OnStar 4G LTE capability, including a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot that can support up to seven devices at the same time. This means your kids can stay entertained by cruising the internet and you can use Google Maps Navigation, and no one will be using up the mobile data plan!

4G LTE technology allows passengers to stay connected, even while on the road, in all the ways that matter—whether that be connecting to the Internet, playing games, downloading movies, or sending emails. It also offers access to OnStar comprehensive safety, security, and connectivity services.

On top of being the first truck brand to enter the market with this technology, the GMC Terrain will also offer 4G LTE and built-in Wi-Fi as standard equipment, making it an ideal family vehicle. GMC plans on adding the technology to upcoming 2015 Sierra HD, 2015 Yukon, and 2015 Yukon XL models.

“This technology is a great feature for all of our customers,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC. “From those who use their Sierra or Yukon as a mobile office, to the families taking trips in any of our vehicles, they can enjoy the benefits of 4G LTE for work or play.”
